Lily Allen is reportedly working on a new sitcom with the cast of Gavin And Stacey. According to the Sun, Allen has been penning comedy sketches with James Corden and Matthew Horne, who star in the hit BBC3 show. Speaking to the publication, a source said: "James loves her ideas and shares her sense of humour. He reckons the humour from Lily's first album 'Alright, Still' will come across on the small screen. "If they can recreate the hilarity they have together at the pub it should be interesting to hear how their stuff turns out." The new show is currently titled Horne And Corden Have Come.

Lily Allen and Alexa Chung have been nominated for a best dressed celebrity prize at this year's Highstreet Fashion Awards. Fearne Cotton and Kelly Osbourne are also on the shortlist. Last year's winner Coleen McLoughlin is absent from the nominations. The best dressed celebrity award will be presented by the Perfume Shop. Store visitors can vote for their favourite stylish celebrity at any branch of the high street chain. Lily Allen was named the worst dressed celebrity at the 2007 NME Awards.

Lily Allen has lent her support to a campaign to increase the use of renewable energy around the country. The young star sang: "Sun is in the sky, oh why, oh why, would I want to be anywhere else?" on her hit LDN and has now added her celebrity to the Friends of the Earth campaign to urge MPs to give homes and businesses a financial reward for using green energy sources such as solar power. Along with the likes of Bloc Party, Johnny Borrell, Hot Chip and Klaxons, Allen has recorded at The Premises solar recording studio in Hackney, east London, and said she is now fully behind the Friends of the Earth bid to provide incentives for using renewable energy. "Having worked at The Premises solar-powered recording studio I have experienced how clean and green renewable energy is," the Smile star explained. "I fully support giving people a renewable energy reward for the power they generate. It's good to be green!" Julia Craik, managing director of The Premises, explained: "However much they might wish to be green, for many businesses it is simply not financially viable to install renewable energy. "If the UK followed the example of Germany and introduced a premium feed-in tariff the initial costs of installing renewable technologies such as our solar panels will be recouped in a much shorter time, and after that turn a profit. This would be a huge incentive." She added: "With more government action there could be far more solar-powered businesses like The Premises studios and many households would want to generate their own renewable energy. "Then the move to be green, that is now an imperative, will have turned a huge corner." The Premises has sent a letter to MPs calling for an amendment to the Energy Bill, on which the House of Commons will vote tomorrow.

James Corden contacted Lily Allen's mother to ask for her permission to date the singer. The Gavin & Stacey actor arranged a lunch date with film producer Alison Owen to discuss the matter, but he initially pretended that he wanted to talk about business. A source told The Mirror: "Alison was bemused when James blurted out, 'Actually I got you here to talk about Lily'. She roared with laughter. She thinks James is a lovely young man and would be delighted if he stepped out with Lily."

Mathew Horne has poured cold water on rumours of a romance between James Corden and Lily Allen. Despite tabloid claims that the pair are an item, Corden's Gavin & Stacey co-star Horne revealed that they have yet to even share a kiss. Mathew told the Sunday Mirror: "James comes into work each day and everyone is asking him 'have you shagged her yet?' "The truth is he hasn't even kissed her. He would love to of course, but they are just friends. For now. It could change, who knows? James probably wants it to change, but I know they haven't even kissed yet."

After being complimented for her presenting skills, Lily ­announced to photographers last night: “You know what I have a really good mouth for?” She then made a boast about being the “best in London” at a certain sexual act. She made the brag outside Nobu restaurant. The 22-year-old singer was out with pal James Corden, brother Alfie and his girlfriend Jaime Winstone – the pair seem to have patched up their recent difficulties. James, 29, was clearly impressed and amused by her admission and laughed. Following dinner, Lily and her crew went for drinks at The Groucho in Soho.

Lily Allen has blamed the stress of her failed chat show for her recent weight gain. The Smile hitmaker's TV debut, Lily Allen and Friends, was deemed a flop after it failed to attract high enough ratings, with its first episode only drawing 255,000 viewers - just two per cent of the potential U.K. audience. And the 22-year-old insists the stress of keeping audiences interested has made her dramatically gain weight. She says: "I don't look great at all. I've put on so much weight with all the stress of my TV show. I'm glad it's over. "Now the show is over I am sure I will lose some weight, just naturally as well as exercising in the gym twice a week." Allen - who championed curvy women when launching a high street clothes line to rival model Kate Moss' last year - is desperate for a quick fix. She adds: "I hate fat tummies so I hope it goes by summer."

Lily Allen has reportedly written a new song about her supposed romance with Gavin & Stacey star James Corden. According to the Daily Star, Allen has penned a tune called 'From Barry To Billericay' in honour of the comedian. She allegedly sent the track's lyrics to the TV star in an envelope. One line from the song reads: "Your heart is the ocean we all get swept in." Allen posted two new tunes on her MySpace last week that she claimed demonstrated her "new direction". Corden recently played down rumours of a romance with the singer, insisting that they were just good friends.
